Recording, gigging and a brand spanking new website...
It’s been a while… We’ve started up recording in earnest again. Peter hatched a master plan to record electric versions of some new material and much of the About Time acoustic CD by Easter. I fully expect this master plan will be thwarted by time and reality, but we’re still working to it at the moment. What it means is that poor Matt and Alan seem to have to spend most of their time in Ramsgate and Peter spends most of his at the mixing desk. I spend most of mine ‘trying’ to stay focused and playing the DS. In case you were ever interested in doing some recording and harboured under the illusion that it might have been in any way ‘enjoyable’, or even ‘fun’ – the ‘Spygenius in the Studio’ video in our extras page should fix that. Fortunately, the evenings usually end with several violent games of Mario Kart (Alan tends to get the crap controller – not quite sure he’s realised yet). Anyway, we are still gigging and played at the 12 Bar last week – not a brilliant turn out, but it was very cold – in fact it was bloody freezing. We’re back up at the Troubadour on Valentine’s day. I’m trying to get us into some small scale festivals this year too, so fingers crossed. The main thing of course, is this brand spanking new website!
